J. Gilbert’s

For those who want an old school setting – wood-paneled walls and leather-bound booths – the McLean steakhouse is offering a three-course, prix-fixe dinner for $38 ($19 for children 12 and under). In addition to turkey, the menu includes butternut squash soup, glazed yams, green beans with pecans, pumpkin pie, cheesecake and apple croustade. Trying to avoid that post-meal tryptophan coma? Pass on the bird and opt instead for a bone-in pork chop, seared sea scallops or maple-roasted salmon.
