American Ballet Theatre: Swan Lake

Complete Dogness

This free, family-friendly performance by Jane Franklin Dance tells the story of a delightful little dog with bad habits. She can eat a wool sweater or steal a block of cheese. But there is hope as Barky learns new tricks and the whole family adjusts. The show incorporates spoken word, movement, music and interactive participatory activities for young children. Company Danzante

Arlington-based contemporary repertory dance group Company Danzante has presented works at the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage and other venues. Mouse in House

Set to movement by Jane Franklin Dance, this story follows a mouse who forms a friendship with the reclusive 19th-century poet Emily Dickinson. Moved by Dickinson’s words, the mouse becomes determined to be a poet herself. Free.
