Lubber Run Amphitheater celebrates its 50th anniversary with a packed lineup of free weekend concerts. National Symphony Orchestra Presents Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Elvis Costello: The Juliet Letters

Part song cycle, part rock opera, Elvis Costello’s The Juliet Letters is a collection of musical love notes to Shakespeare’s Juliet. Multiple characters present short, overlapping stories of passion, loss, death and betrayal that stretch across space and time. UrbanArias presents this series of dramatic ballads by Costello and the Brodsky Quartet in a cabaret setting. $45. Shows are 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Creative Cauldron’s Summer Cabaret Series

Friday and Saturday summer nights become even more sultry with cabaret concerts by area musical theater performers. Styles run the gamut from Broadway to Tin Pan Alley to folk and jazz.
