Movie Nights at Penrose Square and Arlington Mill

The Columbia Pike Revitalization District celebrates “heroes and sheroes” in the movies. Friday-night flicks at the Arlington Mill Community Center (909 S. Dinwiddie St., Arlington) include On the Basis of Sex (June 21), A Wrinkle in Time (June 28), Hidden Figures (July 5), Aquaman (July 12), First Man (July 19), The Incredibles (July 26), Mulan (Aug. 2), Brave (Aug. 9), E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (Aug. 16) and Won’t You Be My Neighbor (Aug. 23). Saturday-night blockbusters at Penrose Square (2597 Columbia Pike, Arlington) include Wonder Woman (June 22), The Post (June 29), Apollo 13 (July 6), Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (July 13), Akeelah and the Bee (July 20), Selma (July 27), Norma Rae (Aug. 3), A League of Their Own (Aug. 10), Life in the Doghouse (Aug. 17) and Won’t You Be My Neighbor (Aug. 24). Rosslyn Cinema Outdoor Movie Festival

Enjoy dinner, drinks and a movie al fresco on Friday evenings. Food trucks and a mobile pub selling beer and wine will be available. The lineup includes Casablanca (June 21), Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (June 28), Crazy Rich Asians (July 5) and Incredibles 2 (July 12). Movie screenings are free.
