Neil Feather’s “Futura Percussion 1860”
The Arlington Art Truck engages the public in interactive art projects that blur the line between audience and presenter. This summer’s free roving exhibit by Guggenheim fellow Neil Feather allows participants to learn basic principles of electricity by operating a sound machine. The sound sculpture incorporates scientific and mechanical tools like switches, batteries and electromagnetic coils. The Art Truck has scheduled stops at the Shirlington Public Library, Pentagon Row, the Arlington County Fair and area farmers markets.
