Smith Park. Original artworks, including paintings, mixed media, glass, ceramics, jewelry, notecards and magnets for every budget and occasion will be available for purchase. MoCA Arlington Spring Market & Cherry Blossom Celebration

April 14, 12-3 p.m.

The cherry blossoms may be gone, but the celebrating continues at this Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington-hosted event. Get outside and decorate your own paper fans and contribute to a community mandala-making with objects from nature. Check out the Made in Arlington market, where local vendors will sell their handmade goods. RossanaJuicebox Old Town and King of Pops will serve coffee, cold-pressed juice and ice pops, respectively. This free family-friendly event invites community members to come together in honor of the environment and Earth Day in particular. Find activities for kiddos, such as an Arlington Artists Alliance painting station and The Library Truck, which will have Earth Day-themed coloring sheets, a plant-a-seed craft and story times. The event also features an art market with vendors such as Trapillo Art, Susanne Seefeldt, Karina Gaull and Bicycle Trash, which makes goods from overlooked materials, such as a sling bag made from a recycled inner tube and a bottle opener from a bike chain and cog. More than 20 women-led companies will sell their wares at this pop-up market at Caboose Commons in the Mosaic District. Vendors include BenneboKids, which specializes in baby blankets, bibs and soft toys; Handmade with Love’s custom greeting cards; and Mud Tree Designs’ handmade, small-batch pottery.
