The Second Annual Skate for Catherine was held Friday March 8 at the Kettler Iceplex to benefit the Catherine Elizabeth Blair Memorial Foundation, whose mission is to fund research for treatment of the childhood cancer neuroblastoma.
Its namesake is Catherine Blair, an Arlington second grader who died in 2011 from the disease.
The event included a skating party with special appearance by Slapshot of the Washington Capitals, raffles, and refreshments provided by local businesses.

Over 350 attendees included many Arlington families who came out for fun and to support the mission of the Blair Foundation in Catherine's memory.
