Nearly 8,500 people came to Rosslyn on Saturday, September 7, for the 23rd Annual Rosslyn Jazz Festival in Gateway Park.
On this perfect fall day, jazz enthusiasts enjoyed dynamic performances by The Kenny Rittenhouse Septet, Naomi Shelton & The Gospel Queens, The Soul Rebels and headliner and Grammy-winner Poncho Sanchez. Joined by special guest James Carter, Sanchez’s Olè Coltrane Project offered a Latin jazz interpretation of Jon Coltrane’s classic 1961 album.
The free annual event was sponsored by the Rosslyn BID and co-presented with Arlington Cultural Affairs.
