The Renegade
One door is closing and another has opened (literally) for Patrick Crump, the longtime executive chef of Clarendon Ballroom, which recently announced plans to call it quits in January after a 20-year run. Crump’s new gig—equal parts coffee shop, restaurant, bar and live music venue—opens early and closes late. His globally-influenced menu includes lots of creative finger foods (from Filipino spring rolls to chicken souvlaki skewers) that you can eat with one hand while holding a beer in the other.
