Susprise Box
Surprise Boxes of good reads from One More Page Books

One More Page Books

Bad news: No more curbside pickup. Good news: Free home delivery for orders over $30 (a $5 delivery fee applies to orders under $30) and reduced USPS fees for books being shipped. Even better news: You can still order a surprise box of books, hand-picked by the staff, based on your literary tastes. And you can now join one of the shop’s virtual book club via Zoom. Book club books will be offered at a 20% discount. All orders can be taken online, although a One More Page staff member will also be available Monday-Friday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. to assist over the phone. // 2200 N. Westmoreland St., Arlington

Bard’s Alley book deliveries by bike

Bards Alley

Now’s the time to snuggle up with a good book—once you get your hands on one, that is. Bards Alley’s owner Tim Fricker and employee Beth Permenter are helping area readers do that in an interesting way, making local deliveries by bike (within a five-mile radius) in partnership with bikes@vienna. Those interested in ordering a book, gift, and/or wine can do so by emailing orders@bardsalley.com or calling 571-459-2653. Payment will be processed over the phone. Should you live just a bit past the pedal limit, front-porch pickups are also an option, as is joining a virtual book club if you’re craving a little extra connection.  // 110 Church St. NW, Vienna
