South African born, Virginia-based artist Elsabe Dixon encouraged visitors to interact with silk moths as they mate, lay eggs and near the end of their life cycle.
She used the biological life cycle of insects to investigate and rationalize our relationship with changing systems and networks. Participants took part in an exploration of sensory memory and the Artist in Residence Studio at Artisphere became a living interactive communal space.
