Fairfax New Year’s Eve Four Miler

When: December 31, 6 p.m.

Where: 10420 North Street, Old Town Fairfax

Run in the new year after dark with complimentary glow sticks. Now celebrating its tenth year, the Pacers Fairfax Four, a kid- and pet-friendly event, runs through Old Town Fairfax and George Mason University with a few rolling hills and a great downhill grade finish. Participants are rewarded with a post-race pizza party, hot beverages and cozy sweatshirts in Old Town Hall. Entry fee $38-$48. Register here.
