Help Earthquake Victims. Dine at Osteria da Nino

Purchase of pasta special will benefit Italian Red Cross.

Osteria da Nino owner Nino Pino announced via Facebook last week that he will donate $10 for every order of Bucatini Amatriciana to help support the victims of the earthquake that hit Italy on Aug. 23.

The dish (which costs $17 at the Shirlington restaurant) originated from Amatrice, an area severely impacted by the quake. The pasta includes housemade guanciale, red onion, Calabria pepper and San Marzano tomatoes.

Pino will donate proceeds from the fundraiser to the Italian Red Cross. The special runs through Sept. 9 at the restaurant, located at 2900 S. Quincy St.
