After a comprehensive one-year renovation project, including installation of a new Spitz SciDome HD projector, new interior dome, and new seats, Arlingtonʼs David M. Brown Planetarium held a grand re-opening celebration the weekend of September 28-30, 2012.
The event was co-hosted by Arlington Public Schools and the Friends of the Planetarium.
As the sole freestanding school planetarium open to the public in the metro area, this unique asset has, for more than 40 years, fostered the appreciation of our night skies, astronomy, and the pursuit of science in its many visitors.
