Icy Fun at National Harbor
You don’t have to be a hotel guest to enjoy ICE!, the main attraction in Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center’s holiday celebrations. This year, artisans from Harbin, China, will hand carve more than 2 million pounds of colorful ice into larger than life sculptures—and two-story slides—inspired by Dr. Seuss’ classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Inside Gaylord National, holiday aficionados can take part in events such as Feast with the Grinch and The Grinch’s Wonderful Awful Idea Scavenger Hunt. New attractions in this year’s Christmas Village include Reindeer Rush Ice Tubing, where you can tube down four lanes, and Gingersnap Christmas Kitchen, for making gingerbread houses and other tasty treats.
Also, don’t miss the atrium’s focal point: Christmas Miracles, a nightly laser light show, accompanied by live music, dancing fountains and indoor snowfall, Nov. 15- Dec. 30. ICE! prices begin at $33 for adults, $25 per child.
