Immerse yourself in White Lotus-style luxury—minus the drama of the hit HBO series—at a high tea experience at Flore Café.
Opened on April 6, this new concept from Sisters Thai founder Tammie Disayawathana aims for patrons to feel like they’re at a resort in Phuket, Thailand, where Season 3 of the show was filmed. “You feel like you come to check in at the resort, and then we’re going to pretend that we work at the hotel,” says the restaurateur, who also owns Magnolia Dessert Bar & Coffee in Vienna.
Launched to coincide with Thai New Year (April 13-15), the White Lotus theme will continue through the end of April, with drink specials such as the zero-proof Royal Orchid Elixir (purple potato, coconut, pineapple, orange and lime) and The Final Check Out (coconut oil-washed Maker’s Mark bourbon, demerara sugar and angostura bitters).
A Europe-meets-Thailand high tea experience will be a regular offering at Flore, which occupies the mezzanine level of Sisters Thai in Tysons. (Opened in November 2024, Sisters Tysons is the newest and largest of the restaurant’s five area locations. It’s also offering a White Lotus-inspired menu through the end of April, with specials such as an “Escape with Madame Scallop” appetizer, “Coconut from Heaven” seafood curry and “Queen of Andaman” seafood pad Thai.)

The high tea menu features savory bites such as shrimp-infused gazpacho and a smoked salmon crepe. Sweets by pastry chef Oksana Chepoy, whose 25+ years of experience includes a stint at Clarity in Vienna, include Dubai pistachio chocolate and a strawberry lemon tart.
Guests will also be treated to two “mystery Thai bites”—usually one savory and one sweet—inspired by seasonal ingredients, Disayawathana says.
Pair the food with your choice of Bellocq Tea Atelier teas, including black, green, herbal and jasmine, for a total of $79 per person. For $10 more, enjoy a glass of sparkling wine and a Lavender Honey or Champagne Rose Petal scone.
For now, high tea is available on Sundays, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., although she plans to expand it to more days in the future.

During regular hours (Sunday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 8:30 a.m.-11 p.m.), Flore offers an all-day brunch menu with options like Thai shrimp scampi, house-made crepes, and a Belgian waffle topped with buttermilk fried chicken, powdered sugar and maple syrup.
The tempting dessert list includes Thai-inspired gelatos by chef Lorenzo Franchetti. Try honey butter toast topped with matcha gelato, or sweet sticky rice with mango.
Following on the heels of nearby Magnolia Dessert Bar, Flore keeps the floral theme going. “I love magnolias, I love the name and I love how we can create things like flowers with the desserts,” Disayawathana says.
