The Honorable Mary Hynes, Arlington County Board Chair, delivered her first address at the eleventh annual State of the County.
Before a crowd of approximately 170 private, nonprofit and civic leaders, the County Board Chair provided an update on the achievements and progress made on the County’s economic and development goals and shared the Board’s plans for the coming year.
Hynes noted some key topics affecting the Arlington community, mentioning plans of action including Building Arlington, emergency preparedness and transportation sustainability. Her big reveal was discussing the PLACE initiative. Hynes also answered a number of pre-submitted audience questions.
