BABA is marking its first New Year’s Eve with three seatings, ranging from $55 to $75, with a welcome cocktail and specialty dishes including smoked duck breast with caramelized figs and sweet-and-sour cherry-tomato chutney. The DJ starts after 9 p.m., and guests who don’t want dinner can pay $20 for passed appetizers and a cash bar. Upstairs, sister restaurant Ambar is hosting a special dinner with two seatings at 4:30 and 8:30 p.m., with unlimited small plates for $69, and 9 to 10 p.m., for $79 to $89.
