Falls Church residents needing a District Taco fix now have one: The chain opened a new 3,000-square-foot restaurant in the Bailey’s Crossroads area last month. The first 50 customers received a free meal and goody bag. A portion of the day’s receipts went to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
“We have a lot of friends around that area, and my son goes to school around the corner,” said District Taco founder Osiris Hoil. “I want to put locations where I feel we have the support of the community. We try to be next to cool spots.”
The food is the same as at other locations. And the chain isn’t slowing down in 2017: Restaurants are planned for Tysons’ Corner, Riverdale Park, Md.; south Arlington; and possibly Philadelphia, Hoil said. He’s also toying with adding brown rice and tofu to the menu.
