Arlington Kids Read held its second Community Reading Festival on Saturday, September 29, 2012.
The event celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month and featured bilingual read-alouds of Hispanic folktales.
Readers included Virginia delegate Alfonso Lopez, Arlington County Board member Walter Tejada, Arlington County Library youth services librarian Desiree Fairooz, and Maria Elena Giraldo Greene, owner of Hola! Baby.
Book-related craft projects and snacks were round out the Hispanic Heritage celebration.
