Arlington Construction At Your Fingertips

Track local redevelopment projects with a new online tool from the county government.

Wondering what routes to avoid during your morning commute? Curious to know how soon those new condos in Rosslyn will break ground, or when those playground improvements will be finished? Keeping tabs on plans for that teardown on your street? Arlington County has a nifty new tool called My Arlington – Projects that shows construction activity in every corner of Arlington, whether it involves parks, transportation, utilities, homes or county facilities. You can filter projects by type and status, and look them up through an address or neighborhood. The interface includes both a map view and a list view of local projects that are subject to approval or underway.

One caveat: For now, the tool doesn’t include projects of the Virginia Department of Transportation, Arlington Public Schools, Washington Gas, Dominion Power or other non-county government entities.

The map is updated several times a day, and each project contains a link to more detailed information. The tool will be available on the My Arlington mobile app in the coming weeks, officials say.
