Sold at the Marymount and Westover farmers markets, Little Austria’s delectable apple strudel is the real deal. Helen Gallent says she makes it the way she remembers it growing up in Austria, with her own dough – not puff pastry or phyllo – and uses organic sugar plus local apples from her fellow market vendors. The most common reaction from customers, she says, is: “It’s not too sweet; you can really taste the apples!”
