Residential Living
These residential options for seniors may include some or all of the following: independent living; assisted living; memory care for individuals with Alzheimer’s or dementia; and high-level skilled nursing care. Some are “life plan communities” (also known as “continuing care retirement communities” or CCRCs) which offer graduated levels of care, from minimal assistance to skilled nursing, so that residents can age in place even as their needs change. Many senior residences provide social activities, fitness and wellness classes, cultural outings, shopping, transportation, on-site concierge and beauty services and other lifestyle programs.
