A Community Book Project

Make your own cookbook at the Columbia Pike Farmer's Market.

Create your own cookbook

Celebrate Arlington’s diverse array of cultures and add yours to the mix this Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Columbia Pike Farmer’s Market. Arlington Arts will have copies of “Columbia Pike Recipes for You: A Community Book Project,” which contains recipes from Columbia Pike restaurants and the stories of the chefs and owners behind them. Read about Almaz Dama, a partner in Dama Ethiopian Restaurant/Dama Pastry & Cafe who followed her sister to the United States in 1974 at the start of the Ethiopian Civil War. Select from 12 recipes from the book, then bind the pages with a range of items — from chopsticks to spoons — provided free.
