Trio Grill
There’s something old school about this spot in Merrifield, from the piano player at the bar and the steak- and oyster-heavy menu to its separate cigar lounge. That old, familiar feeling extends to the drinks, too. You’ll see a lot of names you may know, such as a Vieux Carre, a Bee’s Knees and the Sully, Trio’s take on an Aviation.
Be sure to try: Playin’ in Paloma, a spin on the classic tequila drink, elevated with rosemary-grapefruit cordial, sparkling wine and a bit of salt.
