Cornbread at Sloppy Mama’s BBQ
Meat is a foregone conclusion at this barbecue joint serving pork, brisket and chicken with your choice of sauces (vinegary, mustardy, etc.). But so few ‘cue places get cornbread right that it’s worth saving room for Sloppy Mama’s version ($2). It’s moist and sweet but not cloying, and the corn kernels add a nice pop. Bonus: The counter has 20 taps, serving suds ranging from craft lagers to Miller Lite.
