7. Street Art Festival in Del Ray
Now here’s a colorful photo opp. On Saturday, May 12, Del Ray Montessori School hosts its third annual La Bella Strada: An Italian Street Painting Festival along Mount Vernon Avenue in Del Ray from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (rain date Sunday, May 13). Reviving the street-painting tradition of Renaissance Europe, the event will feature more than 20 local artists creating sidewalk paintings with chalk. Make a donation and your family can access a reserved section to leave its own artistic mark on the avenue.
