This multimedia show—which includes contemporary installations, sculpture and video—explores physical confrontations and power dynamics between forms, spaces and people. Featured artists include Eames Armstrong, Rex Delafkaran, Billy Friebele, Michael Dax Iacovone, Laura Hyunjhee Kim, Rose Nestler, Kirk Amaral Snow and Antoinette Suiter. Admission is free.


Easy Women Smoking Loose Cigarettes

Where: Signature Theatre, 4200 Campbell Ave., Arlington

Local actress, playwright and director Dani Stoller brings us this world-premiere comedy about an empty-nester and her new husband who are forced to contend with some unexpected guests—including members of her own family. Ticket $40 and up.


Columbia Pike Documentary Project

“Transitions: The Columbia Pike Documentary Project”

When: March 21-April 8 (opening reception March 21, 4-6 p.m.)

Where: George Mason University’s Founders Gallery, Van Metre Hall, 3351 N. Fairfax Drive, Arlington

Columbia Pike is home to a diverse array of people and places, many of which are captured in the photos and interviews featured in this exhibit. Good news is, you can take a piece of this local history home with you—book-length catalogs are available for purchase, and at the opening reception (March 21, 4-6 p.m.), can be signed. Admission is free.


The Remarkable Four Seasons of Vivaldi

When: March 21, 7:30 p.m.

Where: Gunston Arts Center, Theater 1, 2700 S. Lang St., Arlington

The National Chamber Ensemble offers its own creative take on Antonio Vivaldi’s masterpiece—including humorous demos, a multimedia backdrop and readings of the sonnets—to present a symphony of words, images and music. Tickets $18-$36.
