Twelve singers and a 16-piece orchestra gathered together for three days to record this performance of 20 Stephen Sondheim numbers. The American composer and lyricist is known for musicals such as A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, A Little Night Music, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Sunday in the Park with George and Into the Woods. He also wrote the lyrics for West Side Story. For $35, viewers can stream the production on Marquee TV.

National Chamber Ensemble: Hungarian Delicacies

Pieces by acclaimed Hungarian composers Bela Bartok, Ernst von Dohnanyi and Franz Liszt have a distinctive style that blends classical composition with elements of folk music. This live-streamed National Chamber Ensemble performance is a collaboration with Bowen McCauley Dance Co. In addition, a virtual wine and cheese reception with the artists will be held on April 7 at 4 p.m. Tickets $36 for adults, $18 for students.
U2TOPIA: A Tribute to U2

Signature in the Schools: Here’s the Deal

In this Signature Theatre production, students in Mrs. Day’s Theatre III class study a nearly century-old crisis (the Great Depression) to try to make sense of the current one. See how the characters weigh the pros and cons of progressive legislation like FDR’s New Deal. This world premiere play by Caleen Sinnette Jennings will be performed by 32 students from 18 different schools.
