13th Annual Chinese New Year Festival

Where: Luther Jackson Middle School, 3020 Gallows Road, Falls Church

Celebrate the Year of the Rat with a traditional lion dance, a dragon parade, Asian cuisine, an Asian craft exhibition, children’s activities and more. This annual event is hosted by the Asian Community Service Center. Snow date: Feb. 8. Tickets $5; $2 for kids 5-12; free for kids under 5. Online ticket purchases receive a 10% discount.


Hiplet Ballerinas

Realizing traditional ballet isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, the Hiplet Ballerinas spice up the pointe technique with tastes of African, Latino, Hip-Hop and urban dance styles. They also bring modern musical stylings to an experience suitable for audiences of all ages. Tickets $30; $20 for McLean Community Center district residents.
