Creative Cauldron presents its regional premiere of a musical poking fun at the many princesses of fairy-tale land, with songs such as “All I Wanna Do Is Eat” and “A Happy Tune?” $20-$35.

Groovin’ on the Pike

When: Oct. 4, 7 p.m.-9 p.m.

Where: Columbia Pike Branch Library, 816 S. Walter Reed Drive, Arlington

Dancing is encouraged at this First Friday concert series featuring the Dave Kline band and local jazz vocalist Lynn Veronneau. All ages are welcome. Free.

Oktoberfest at Courthaus

When: Oct. 5, 11 a.m.-9 p.m.

Where: Courthaus Social, 2300 Clarendon Blvd., Arlington

Cornhole and brewery bingo are on the roster of events at this 4th annual Oktoberfest, which also promises live music. A special import of Hofbräuhaus München is on hand, as well as several local beers, and dogs are welcome. Free admission.

Columbia Pike Fall Fest

When: Oct. 5, 1-6 p.m.

Expect food and drink options—likely including a fair number of ciders, pumpkin ales and Oktoberfest ales—as well as live music and family-friendly activities at this 5th annual street fest. Free admission.

Oktoberfest at Bronson Bierhall

When: Oct. 5, 11 a.m.-2 a.m.

Where: 4100 Fairfax Drive, Suite 100, Arlington (Ballston)

Enjoy all-day live music, German beer tastings and some outdoor BBQ with a variety of sausages at the inaugural Oktoberfest for this new Ballston beer hall. Cornhole and ping-pong are available on the patio. Free admission.
