The Rosslyn Business Improvement District (BID) and Artisphere welcomed the 2012 holiday season with the 19th annual LIGHT UP Rosslyn Ceremony and Light Up a Life Warm Winter Clothing Drive on Thursday, December 6.
News Channel 8 meteorologist Devon Lucie hosted the evening’s outdoor festivities under the WJLA Jumbotron, located at 1100 Wilson Blvd. The BID collected 119 bags of donated clothing from 30 commercial and residential buildings throughout Rosslyn – doubling its total from its 2011 collection. The clothing will be distributed to the homeless clients of A-SPAN (Arlington Street People Assistance Network).
The rooftops of nearly 40 Rosslyn properties will be illuminated from December 6, 2012 to Janunary 15, 2013.
