U2Topia at State Theatre: A Free Outdoor Show

The DMV tribute band‘s repertoire includes songs from U2’s early punk days (think albums such as Boy and War) through the band’s biggest blockbuster hits, channeling the energy of Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen.

MLK Day of Service

International Rolling Stones Tribute

When: Jan. 21, 7:30 p.m.

Where: The Birchmere, 3701 Mount Vernon Ave., Alexandria

You can’t always get what you want (if what you want is to see Mick Jagger in person), but you can get what you need (as in a live music fix). This Rolling Stone tribute band has toured the world and performed more than 4,000 times over the course of 20 years. Tickets $29.50.
