Wee ones love to put their hands on just about anything. Lucky for parents of kids 5 and under, this event lets tiny tots do just that while helping them identify the day’s most popular color: green. They’ll also get to make and take a themed craft. Fee is $20.

Shamrock Stampede: St. Pat’s Bar Crawl

When: March 17, 4-8 p.m.
Where: Whiskey & Oyster, 301 John Carlyle St., Alexandria

Bar crawls are only a weekend event if you let them be. Instead of heading right home after work, consider stopping by one—or all—of the five Alexandria venues offering $5 drink specials, themed food specials, and potentially providing clues for the leprechaun scavenger hunt happening across the Carlyle neighborhood. Tickets $10.
