6. Northern Virginia Community College – Alexandria Campus
Known locally as “NOVA,” this community college system is the second-largest in the United States, with six campuses in Alexandria, Annandale, Loudoun, Manassas, Springfield and Woodbridge. Of those, the Alexandria campus has the second-highest enrollment and recently unveiled a new Center for Design, Media and the Arts. NOVA’s site currently lists the price of in-state tuition as $5, 498 and enrolls an average of 4,497 each year.
