Commonwealth Joe has long been committed to peak productivity. It’s been delivering its nitro cold-brew coffee on tap to area office buildings since 2014. You’ll find that beverage and plenty of other variations of, ahem, Joe, at its flagship Pentagon City location (attached to the Whole Foods and Bartlett Apartment complex), where the coffee is roasted and brewed in house. The polished, industrialized interior is equipped with outlets attached to every table, so you’ll never worry about running out of juice, or having to sheepishly implore a stranger to switch seats with you while you recharge your phone or laptop. If homegrown and quirky is more your style, head to Java Shack in Clarendon, which is owned and operated by the same purveyors.
