4. Harvest the good times at Cherry Hill Park’s Farm Day.
You’ll find hayrides, fresh cider presses, pony rides and all of the autumnal treats you desire at Cherry Hill Park’s annual Farm Day in Falls Church. The celebration is inspired by the traditional harvest festival, which was meant to welcome a bountiful autumn (hopefully that bounty involves apple cider doughnuts). The fun also includes pumpkin and birdhouse painting, a blacksmith demo, corn shelling, a petting zoo, scarecrow making and farmhouse tours.
