The Fourth Annual Skate for Catherine, held at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex on March 6, was a great success! The event drew over 400 party-goers who came to honor their friend taken by cancer and raise funds to help other kids. $20,000 was raised for the Catherine Elizabeth Blair Memorial Foundation, which funds research for the pediatric cancer neuroblastoma.
Families skated, ate pizza and cake, and listened anxiously to hear the raffle prize winners. Comments from participants included: “Friday’s Skate for Catherine event was just lovely. We are still reeling from the wonderfulness…” and “…another magical event.”
